In a small side street in La Croisille sur Briance is this village house: within walking distance of the supermarket, bakery and a bar-restaurant.

Ground floor
Two steps lead up to the house's typical kitchen (14.25 m²): on the left is the large fireplace housing the cooker, a simple sink and a table in the middle. The panelled doors are an immediate eye-catcher, as is the fact that the entire room, including the ceiling, is covered in retro wallpaper. To the left of the kitchen is a bedroom (~9 m²) and a lounge (14.3 m²). The latter is a bright room thanks to the windows on either side, with a fireplace and built-in cupboard.

Behind the kitchen is a corridor where the gas central heating system hangs and where there is space for coats and shoes. The shower room (3 m²) is functional and very basic: it comprises a shower cubicle, washbasin, toilet and bidet. Removing the bidet would create more space for the toilet and a washbasin unit.

The 1th floor
As in many houses, the staircase leading to the attic is half-enclosed by a door. You first enter an open, unfinished attic where the beams and insulation materials are visible. A second bedroom (15.4 m²) has been converted.

Once properly converted, the open attic can (also) be used to create an additional bedroom and/or shower room. Firstly, one of the beams needs to be replaced as it is damaged.

Part of the house is built over a cellar, accessible from the kitchen. The cellar is under the living area and the bedroom.

The house is habitable, but its decoration is dated, and the kitchen and shower room are functional. If you tackle the house room by room, it will once again meet your own standards and taste! Only the kitchen still has a single-glazed wooden window; the other windows have already been replaced with PVC ones.

The garden
The total area of the garden is 582 m². On the left-hand side, it is bordered by a fence that has been moved back slightly to allow her to park her car in front of it. A fence has also been placed on the right-hand side to separate the garden. The neighbour also uses the right-hand side, which is outside the fence, to access his terrace and garage. Against the neighbour's barn, a garage (28.5 m²) and an annexe (18 m²) have been built. Useful for storing the lawnmower, garden furniture and tools. There's a small veggie-plot behind the barn. The gas tank is diagonally opposite the garage.

Amenities
The house faces away from the road. The garden is uncluttered. The garden is bordered on one side by the neighbour's house and on the other by a conifer hedge. The necessary shops are within walking distance. It's only on the 18th of the month, when the region's biggest fair is held, that the village is crowded in the morning! The large supermarket in Châteauneuf la Forêt can be reached in 10 minutes by car. This village, like the neighbouring village of Sussac, also has a pretty swimming lake. Limoges can be reached in 45 minutes. The large supermarkets to the south of the city (Centre Commercial de Boisseuil) are just over half an hour's drive away. Limoges Bellegarde airport is just an hour's drive away.
