Here, you really feel like you are in a French farmhouse with lots of authentic details.
Atmosphere!
Upon entering, you immediately see the large fireplace with a wood-burning stove, a beautiful old wooden floor and the large ceiling beams that set the tone. The living room has French doors to the garden. The living space is L-shaped with an open kitchen adjacent to the living room. The modern kitchen has a straight layout and offers enough space for a dining table. The bedroom has wooden floors and a door to the garden. There is a small bathroom and laundry room and a separate toilet.
A big advantage of this is that everything is on the ground floor, so the upper floor can be considered extra. An open wooden staircase in the living room leads upstairs, where there are two spacious and bright bedrooms and a storage cupboard. The old beam construction has been beautifully preserved.
There is a spacious basement under the entire house.
In the garden, a large terrace has been created on the barn side, part of which has an (open) canopy. The spacious garden (3,500 m²) and beautiful views make this a lovely holiday home or permanent residence.
The gîte
Next to the house is a 30 m² gîte, which is divided into three rooms. The first part is the living room with stairs to a mezzanine/open bedroom. There is a small kitchen and a modern bathroom in the middle. Finally, there is a cosy converted bread oven.
Outbuildings
Attached to the house is a large barn of over 93 m² and 8.5 metres high, which can be used for many purposes. It has a rear exit to the garden with a wooden canopy, which creates a wonderful atmosphere. The barn is connected to the neighbour on one side.
Amenities
The house is located in a hamlet with four permanently inhabited houses whose residents get along well (French, English and Flemish) in the Le Parc régional de Périgord-Limousin nature reserve, which has something to offer every nature lover. It is located between the large villages of Saint Yrieix la Perche and Jumilhac le Grand, which offer all kinds of amenities, including a large supermarket, schools and a hospital. Markets are held regularly.
The house is ready to move into, as almost everything will be left behind. Just a few finishing touches here and there, and you can start enjoying French life. Turn the key and enjoy your new French life!
