At the edge of a small hamlet with 4 houses just 5 minutes' cycling distance from the horse capital Arnac-Pompadour stands this authentic artist's house. This French farmhouse has lots of authentic details. Upon entering, you immediately notice the large fireplace with a wood-burner and old doors to the attic and bedrooms. Beautiful old wooden floor and beams set the mood.
Once the plan was to split the ground floor into two living areas to rent out one part as a gîte. Hence the ground floor consists of a living with separate small kitchen, small simple bathroom (shower, washbasin, toilet), 3 bedrooms, another (dining) kitchen and living. A staircase in the dining kitchen takes you to the attractive bathroom (bath, toilet, washbasin) above. The sloping roof has been painted by the current owner (artist).
A large attic with skylights serves as a studio. Behind it is a large attic without insulation but with lots of space. Underneath the house is a spacious basement with headroom.
Next door project
Next to the house is an old house of about 80 m2 which could be converted into a gîte, for example. An ideal place for the handyman. The walls are there, the rest can be filled in as you wish. The space is big enough for 2 or 3 bedrooms and a living kitchen with the old fireplace.
The plot is about 4,400 m2 with a large canopy (asbestos roof) where work can be done.
