Saint Julien le Petit


Saint Julien le Petit offers no facilities except for a Mairie and an Auberge for your lunch or a drink. However, there is a lake with a small beach. For your shopping you go to Peyrat le Chateau or the larger Eymoutiers. It provides all the necessary amenities such as a supermarket, post office, bank, pharmacy and other shops. Of course the many restaurants for a Menu ouvrier are not lacking! Every 3rd Sunday of the month in Eymoutiers a large market (Foire) is held. Every Tuesday and Thursday morning, there are a number of stalls on the main square. The bigger and mediaval Saint Leonard de Nobalt is to be reached in 20 minutes drive. Also for the sportive ones, the environment has a lot to offer. Saint Julien has a local river-side beach, with lifeguard during summer months. Peyrat has a large lake with beach and playground, tennis courts, miniature golf, but the Lac Helene at Bujaleuf is also Worth a visit. There are various walking and cycling routes in the area. Also horses or donkey rides are organized to explore the area. The Lac de Vassievière is nearby and this is except for the swimmers also suitable for water sports enthusiasts (sailing, wake boarding).
