Traditional renovated stone longhouse with 0,7 or 1 1/3 acre

Beautiful renovated stone farmhouse set next to a small hamlet road and with its 2.870 sqm (0,7 acre) of land. One of the two adjoining barns has already been turned into a very charming and authentic 45 sqm (480 ft2) living room. It has all the right details: exposed stone walls, clay coloured floor tiles, exposed wood ceiling beams, built-in wooden cupboards and a gorgeous stone open fireplace. It also has a second entrance door and white rendered insulated walls on the north side of the room, so you’re protected from the cold! A door on the side gives you access to the kitchen next door, which is inside the original house. It has a wooden floor, is 10 sqm in size (107 ft2), is simply decked out but clean. At the back of it, there is a small bathroom fitted with a shower, a washbasin and a toilet. Then you walk through a small landing to get to the house’s main entrance door and central hallway. There is the staircase and a concrete floor. The north facing wall has been insulated. To the left of this hallway, a prettily decorated 12 sqm (130 ft2) bedroom over a wooden floor and behind it, a utility room with the washing machine, the oil central heating boiler and tank. On the first floor on either side of the central hallway, you have a 12 and 13 sqm (130 & 140 ft2) bedroom over original solid wood floors. Each room has its dormer window and a 7 sqm (75 ft2) room behind it, one of which has a sink and a toilet. Next to the first barn, there is a second 100 sqm (1080 ft2) barn with stables. The walls are built with stones and the natural slated roof is recent and an adjoining 27 sqm (290 ft2) stone built wood shed with a tin roof completes the list of buildings. Only the frontal stone side of the house is rendered, otherwise all the buildings have exposed stone walls. Nice enclosed lawned garden that can be partly turned into a vegetable plot. Chamberet

Chamberet is a lively village providing all necessary services. The village has a small supermarket, bakery, post office, pharmacy, hairdresser and several restaurants. And off course a bar/tabac for your daily journal. Every second Saturday of the month a petit marché (market) is held at the main square. In summer this market is held every week. The larger village Treignac is about 10 kilometers away. Treignac is an old town with its lovely winding streets, lake and nice restaurants. It also provides a large supermarket. It is an attractive area for hiking, cycling, fishing or parapente. The villages of Brive and Limoges are to be reached in 45 minutes drive. Both cities have an airport with (nearly) daily flights to the UK.
