When you step inside the house, it is like going back in time. It would make an ideal film setting about the life in the mid 19th century. The large fireplace is the centrepiece of the authentic kitchen which also has a concrete floor, recessed cupboards and a robust beamed ceiling with a head height of 2.8 m (9.2ft). There is a large 16.5 sqm (178sqft) room at the back with full length solid wood built-in cupboards. There are two more rooms next to it of 17.5 and 13.5 sqm (188 and 145 sqft) respectively. The attic is accessible via the kitchen staircase and it is a large open space with two dormer windows. This could be converted into additional bedrooms and a bathroom for instance. The description of the living space does not mention a toilet or a bathroom. It is because there currently aren't any. The house has mains water, but the tap is located by the entrance door. There is a low-ceiling (about 1.5m / 4ft11” high) cellar below the main room that is accessible via a staircase or via an external door at the back. There is a small adjoining cottage next to the house of about 36 sqm (388sqft), but it is in a poor state. A door connecting both accommodations could easily be installed, by removing the existing recessed cupboard in the kitchen. There is an old bread oven next to the cottage that could also be renovated. The former vegetable garden is in front of the house and a massive 200 sqm (2150 sqft) barn stands at a right angle from the house. And there are two floors to this barn, which means another 200 sqm of floor space! You can only realise how big and tall this building really is when you enter it from the back double door. This is a wonderful opportunity to turn this space into a house or several cottages! There is one last outbuilding opposite the house not the most appealing of buildings a hangar, which does not belong to the property sold. The current owner will demolish this building if desired by the buyer. The main part of the plot is located behind the barn. It gently slopes down and it has beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. This project will need a complete renovation: electricity, plumbing, the septic tank, roof insulation. There is nothing here - except for some authentic characteristics, that you will be able to keep. The three bedrooms on the ground floor are also likely to be turned into something different, such as a dining or a living room. The house is semi-detached. There is another house on its right-hand side, which is not lived in now.
