Bujaleuf


Bujaleuf is a medium sized village of about 950 inhabitants and offers first need of amenities. There are several bakeries and restaurants, a butcher, post office and a (small) supermarket. Every Friday there is a market on the square. Every last Monday of the month a large market is held. A supermarket is located about 10 kilometers away in the village of Eymoutiers. Additionally Bujaleuf known for its beautiful large lake, Lac de Helene (70,000 sqm). There is a cordoned off section for the tiny swimmers. For the older swimmers lies and pontoon with slide in another part. On the beach there are various play equipment. You can paddle boats and sail boats. In high season a section of the lake is often guarded by a lifeguard. Swimming, sailing and other water-sports is also possible at the even bigger and wel known Vassivière Lake, which is at 20 kilometers distance .
